Would it be weird if I named my son Akira?

I live in the United States (Colorado) and I guess you'd say I'm caucasian (whitish skin, brown eyes, red hair). How weird would you think it is if i named my son Akira? I love the anime "Akira," and I think it would be cool to name him that. However, I am not a socially oblivious man, and I realize that a child's name plays a huge part in their childhood. Do you think they would be radically ostracized because of it?
