Cant get over a girl who likes me as a friend?

Hey, well there's this girl who I honestly care about with my life. I had the guts to tell her but she didn't feel the same way but on a good side (kinda) we ended up being great friends like we sometimes hang out after school and stuff and we talk and i make her laugh and we have so much in common. Anyway, I still care about her (I want to say love but at the same time love is a mutual thing) and i want her to be mine. last night we had the graduation party for graduating the 8th grade. I had a great time and she was there to. we hung out there but only as friends. I also know she likes a kid who I used to be in a band with and hes like 10x better then me but oblivious and he constantly has girls flirting with him. I care about this girl and i want to be with her but more importantly i want her to be happy so i told her she should go tell the guy how he felt but she ended up getting mad at me and later that night she came up to me and apologized and we spend the rest of the night together. Problem is im madly in love with this girl but she doesn't feel the same way about me. How do I get over her but still be friends?
