Will a doctor do a hysterectomy because I request it?

I dont fall in the category of needing a hysterectomy but will a doctor do a hysterectomy if I request it? I want to have some sort of permanent birth control, either getting my tubes tied or a hysterectomy. Will a doctor do a hysterectomy just because I would prefer that to having my tubes tied?
