What are some cigarette stereotypes?

I'm a smoker who currently smokes Marlboro reds. The other day I was with some friends and they sort if chided/teased me for smoking reds. I laughed at it, but I don't know why they pointed that out. So, what are some of the stereotypes? Also, I'm a girl. I may be oblivious, but I know that mostly men smoke reds. Thank you.
