Do religious people understand that much of what they're saying has to be false?

Are they just oblivious to all the signs that there isn't heaven and hell, and creationism isn't true. I'm directing this specifically towards Christianity. I just don't understand how people can be so ignorant as to think people who live their lives being wonderful people go to hell just because of one dumb belief. It's really bullshit.
