Depression problem. Can you help me?

Dean ... antidepressants are not perfect in performance. Each person is very individual on what antidepressants work for them and what dosages are necessary to minimize side effects and provide therapeutic chemical performance in normalizing brain chemistry. What a good fit anti-depressant provides is a re-balancing of chemical depression, that is depression caused by malfunctioning glands. Anti-depressants will not mask the component of depression based on a real-life issues. In other words, if chronic worry over making the car payment caused chemical depression over the long term, the anti-depressant will help eliminate the chemical depression, but it will not stop you from worrying about making the car payment, and that worry making you depressed to some extent. The cure for that component is how you think and go about a positive real plan to pay off that bill. That's where Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) helps to realign your thinking methods and planning methods to remove stresses in healthy ways. A psychiatrist/therapist should be helping you learn those methods. Also know that an anti-depressant will not stop guilt, but CBT will teach you how to deal with guilt in healthy ways. Take care !
